Another day's progress
although it is minimal. Second day of the mid-July Monthly Dishcloths KAL
and into the gusset of the STR Cleopatra Socks.
I am probably spending too much time at Plurk.com

Cotton & wool...
First the cotton is day 1 of the Monthly Dishcloth mid-July KAL. Don't know what it is to be yet.
The wool is the Cleopatra Socks up to the gusset. These are the last shipment from the STR 08 sock club. They are not the easiest pattern I have ever done, but I am catching on. I did change the toes on these but they are the ones I like.

Two more
Sorry I just can't resist these quick finishes... This one is called Showers in Spring. This one is Soaring Rocket (Happy July 4th).
Both of these used Sugar n Cream cotton yarn--light blue for the first and red for the second. Also used 3.5mm needles for both clothes. Both patterns came from ShirleysKnittingKnook yahoo group
I'm still working on the Orkney Pi shawl and am almost finished with section two. I will spread it out and take another progress photo. Sorry I didn't get a photo of the Mystic Light shawl before I took it to our county fair to enter. I will get one at the end of the week.

Dyeing to be finished
Finally finished knitting clue 5 of Mystic Light. Here it is lying in a blob on the deck table. I have not been happy with the way the lace and the color are fighting each other. I decided to overdye with some Black Cherry Kool-Aid.
Here it is cooking in the crock pot with the color now exhausted from the water.
Lifted up for a quick look. I have now rinsed it out and rolled it in a towel to get out any excess water. It is pinned out to dry. I will take a picture tomorrow when it is dry.
Have a happy 4th!
