Back to school tomorrow

since the long weekend is over. We actually had a four day weekend because school was cancelled on Friday due to the wind chill danger. The photo below was taken late Sunday night. We got a small layer of snow just to make everything nice and white, but it melted off pretty quickly with the sun today.I did finish up the rows for days 3 & 4 on the dishcloth kal. It would probably show up better if I had used a lighter color.
That's all for now.

A little over a week...

has passed since I last posted. There's plenty to catch up on. First a cute puppy picture. He loves to sleep in this position. I don't see how it's comfortable but I guess he likes it.

This is some Socks That Rocks lightweight in Blue Brick Wall that is going to become a pair of socks in the Leyburn pattern.
This is some more Socks That Rock lightweight in Romancing the Stone color(sorry this colorway is no longer available, apparently, so I just linked to the main colorways at Sblue Moon). It is presently becoming the Lacunae Socks from Knitspot.
Poor kitty is tired and so must sleep on Mommy's lap while she is sitting up in bed knitting and watching TV. Not spoiled at all.
Sugar n Cream in Vintage Wine using 3.75mm needles on its way to becoming a dishcloth from the latest MonthlyDishcloth KAL.
Here is the Lacunae socks after one day of knitting. I managed to get through the first pattern repeat after just an afternoon.
Here is where the Central Park Hoodie sleeves are right now. I am forcing myself to knit on them today(in between loads of laundry). I will be glad when this one is finished. I'm just tired of working on this. That's why I started those socks you see above yesterday. Gotta finish up this sweater asap though. It's for my daughter. Definitely by next weekend.
Well that's all I got for now.

A day off

This is what it looked like out my back door this morning. Yup, schools were closed today. I got up at 5 am like always, turned on the tv, expecting to have to wait for a call on the status of school, but it was there as soon as I turned on the tv. So I went back to bed till about 9.Finished this dishcloth last night. January KAL for MonthlyDishcloths group. Used Sugar 'n Cream Light blue & 3.75 mm Knitpicks Harmony Options needles.
Still reading on Breaking Dawn, 4th in the Twilight series. I have been thoroughly enjoying these books. Stephanie Meyer has done a tremendous job!
That's all I got.

Plurk Craft 365

So today I joined this group on Flickr. The rules are simple--belong to Plurk, do a craft, take and post a picture every day.
This is day 4...Ranger is looking at himself in the mirror. It was hilarious.

This is day 3...It is a dishcloth KAL with the MonthlyDishcloths yahoo group.

Day 2...Sarah is trimming the puppy's nails using PediPaws.

And day 1, I started and finished this knitted hat.

Happy Anniversary!

So today was my wedding anniversary and I spent the day finishing up this One Row Scarf from the Yarn Harlot's blog.See that end hanging at the end? That's all I had left to weave in from 3 big skeins of Rowan Big Wool Fusion using size 16 (12mm) KnitPicks Options needles.

And I also decided I needed a hat to match the scarf so I came up with this. It is a close enough match for me. The scarf was still long enough to wear doubled around my neck too. These will be really warm.
These are my first two finished projects for 2009! I'm off to a great start. Working on my
Halema`uma`u Socks that I got from The Loopy Ewe. I hope to finish those in another week.
TTFN!
