My last finish...

is this garter stitch scarf from LB Homespun. It is for the Markey Center. I finished this on Saturday while we were on the way to Richmond, Virginia. Easy peasey! I have a cotton roll brim hat on the needles also for this project. Maybe I will finish it soon.

More scarves...

for the Markey Cancer Center. These 7 beautiful scarves are from June in Arizona.

My personal knitting progress...

is almost non existant. I cast on another scarf in LB Homespun and another hat in Peaches and Creme cotton. We are heading out early in the morning for Richmond, Virginia. I'm taking the scarf, my Diamond Fantasy shawl and the Big Bad Baby blanket to knit during the trip. Hopefully I will make great progress. We'll see.

Another update...

Lovely scarves, again. For the Markey Cancer Center. These two above are from Mary in Washington state. The following 16 are from Paula in California.

We have now collected 50 scarves, 6 hats, and 1 shawl. Pretty good, so far. Long way to go, though to beat our last collection of over 200 scarves. Knit on!

Got my STR sock club package!

Here it is in all its glory! The new color is Fairgrounds. I love the colors in this skein. I couldn't wait to wind it up into balls, ready for sock-making! Not sure about the pattern though. I will have to study it more before I decide if I want to use this pattern or another. Did I mention I love these colors?!?!

Late finish!

Just finished this chemo hat while watching House. I used Bernat Softee Chunkee in Carnival colorway.
Off to bed now!

FO's and packages in the mail...

So here are my Socks That Rock Club socks. They pooled because I divided the skein into two balls and knit both socks at once on two 2.25 mm circular needles. I like to do all my socks that way because is takes less time and I don't experience SSS (second sock syndrome). Also I didn't want to fool with switching back and forth between two balls so I wouldn't have this problem. These aren't a color I would normally buy on purpose, but I am sure I can find some reason to wear them cause I love the feel of this yarn. The next shipment should come in sometime next week, rumor has it that the next shipment goes out on Friday, the 19th. Can't wait for the next one!
This is the latest shipment of scarves & a shawl for the Markey Cancer Center Project. I just love getting these packages in the mail because I love seeing how wonderful and different each item is. I know how much caring and love is knitted into each one. BTW, this package came from Mary on Bainbridge Island in Washington state.
This scarf is really cool! The cream colored part looks like rolled up material. Wonder what it really is?
This shawl is really soft and snuggly. It will keep someone really cozy.

I still have my Beaded Opal socks to work on and plan to start another Big Bad Baby Blanket to go with the baby sweater/bootees/hat for the coming (step)grand-baby. Gotta go now!

Another package....

for the Markey Cancer Center project. Each one is beautiful and unique! These came from Mary in Washington state. I won't waste any more words...just browse.

What I knitted this week...

I have been too negligent about posting pictures to my blog. I just can't seem to consistently find the time or energy to keep it updated more often than once a week. I never was good at keeping a diary either. Ha! The following are what I managed to get finished this week.

Baby sweater

I finished the knitting part of this 5 hour baby sweater on Thursday and the sewing under the arms last night. This will be part of a shower gift for my first (step) grandchild, a girl, Savannah Raye White, due around July 1. I also knitted up booties and a hat to go with this. Finished up those on Friday. I used Caron Simply Soft in the Baby Brights Ombre color.

Chemo hat

This is the first chemo hat I have finished for the Markey Center project. I used Bernat Softee Chunky in the Circus color. I finished this on Tuesday evening.

Socks

These are from the Socks That Rock sock club. Cedar Creek pattern. I picked up for the gusset Friday and will work on these today.
