What I've been doing

This is the second Ballband Warshrag that I have knitted. These are easy to do, easy to memorize the pattern, and very pretty. No, I didn't misspell the name. That's what it's called in the book and that is exactly how it is pronounced in the South. :-) This is the first one I did after I finished the easy diagonal one I already had started. These can always be used and they are very mindless to do. I want to knit every project in this book. I just love it.

Now, back to the Mystery Stole!

One finish, one beginning

Here is my Diamond Fantasy shawl blocking on the bed in the back bedroom. Here it is out soaking up the sun. I used 3 skeins of Koigu KPPPM in a light lilac color.

Here is a close up of the bottom and edge of the shawl. Beautiful, isn't it?
This is the Mystery Stole 2 KAL. It is really a deep purple color but the sun makes it look blue. I am using Zephyr in Iris color. This is Clue 1, side 1. Last Friday Clue 3 was posted. See how far behind I am? I will eventually get it finished. I started on side 2 of clue 1 so maybe by this next weekend I will have a complete Clue 1 finished on both sides.

Just an update

I entered a few things in our county fair and here are the results. I really think the sock should have been a blue ribbon. They were in the adult clothing category and the only other item was a simple poncho. These two are the Gecko Eyes socks (entered into the Other Beaded Items category) and the Pink Lady Bag in a brown Manos yarn (entered in the Other Knitted Items category).
My Lucy Bag was entered into the Knitted Purse category.
A basket I made back in November. I usually make one or two every year.
We baby(dog) sat on Saturday. The grand dog, Abby. Isn't she getting big! It's been 4 weeks since Megan got her.
Oh, I found these five scarves while digging through some things and decided to add them to the Markey Cancer Center project, so that brings up our total to 141 scarves. Will definitely call tomorrow and see if I can get these items out of my living room.
My Diamond Fantasy shawl is finally finished! I wet it and pinned it out in the "extra" bedroom. It's the only place remotely big enough. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and I can take better pictures out in the sun (heat!)
Late!

Shawls and stuff

This is the Diamond Fantasy Shawl. I'm finished with the 5th repeat of Chart B. I'm doing one more repeat at least and then for the finish! All this in a week.

OK...this is to be my next lace project. I belong to the MysteryStole2 KAL. Link's here--http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Mystery_Stole_2/ Join before the 14th cause the group closes then. I am not starting this til I get the DFS finished so I can concentrate. This is the provisional cast on from knitty.com. We have the first clue as of Friday morning.
Next clue this Friday!

One last package

to add to our final total--136 scarves, 16 hats and 1 shawl. Hooray! Great job! Now to call the Center on Monday to see when to make the delivery. BTW, these two lovely scarves came from Mary in Washington. On one final note...
Can I come out and play?

Forgive me...

For I have been negligent. I fell asleep yesterday on the couch and didn't get the pictures taken or posted to my blog. So here they are now! I got two boxes on Monday and they were filled with scarves and hats. These first three pictures are from Florida--Rochelle and Jody! Thanks gals!

These four scarves are from Rosemary in Michigan.
As always, everything is lucious and beautiful. I think these may be the last ones and so I will call the social worker at the cancer center to see about delivery. "Talk" at ya later!

Package! Again!

This one came from Maria in NY. All nicely wrapped in tissue paper with Chicos stamped all over. Wonder where she got that? LOL This is what was inside. Lovely colors and yummy feeling too!
Hey! Twins!
On a sad note, it is with deep regret that I announce the passing of the Diamond Fantasy shawl I started before Christmas. I laid it aside for other pursuits and was hopelessly lost when I picked it back up. So this is what I did for a good part of the afternoon. I unraveled and rewound.
So sad...waiting on a friend.
Here they are just goofing off!

Over they went!
Playing possum!
Back to the shawl...I started it again and at the moment I am up to Row 36. I have dishes to wash up and then I will go back to it.

Ooops!

Forgot to post this picture of the Big Bad Baby Blanket for my new step-grandaughter, Savannah Raye! She is now 18 days old, I think. Don't have a calendar in front of me :-)
I still need to weave in the ends and wash and block it. Will do that later today!

Friday packages

Can you believe it? Two more packages came Friday. They were from Mary in Washington state and Jill in the U.K.

The next 4 pictures are from Jill. They are beautiful colors, textures and patterns. Someone is going to be very lucky to get these and they should feel very special.

These next two pictures are Mary's scarves. I just love the colors and stitches she used!

More to come later!
