Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

It's been a very nice and productive weekend. Our Thanksgiving actually started last weekend on Sunday, with a dinner at my MIL's house. Then Wednesday night, my brother's family and our family got together at a restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. On Thursday, it was just my husband, myself and Sarah for lunch so I didn't fix a big dinner. That evening we went to Megan's fiance's grandparents for dinner. That was it for the dinners for us. I just made some yummy turkey salad with the remaining turkey for this week. On the knitting front I finished and felted the two pair of slippers above and knitted up another pair which you can see below. I think it will be close but I might just get all the pairs made that I need. I thought I would start with the men's sizes since they are a lot bigger and take slightly longer to make.
Next you will see what our pets did this weekend with the beautiful weather. Here is Rusty out in the front yard enjoying the sun and leaves.
The "Queen" SiSi is staring so intently out the front door at a bird that she didn't even care when we set a silver bell ornament on her head.
Here is the "shy" dog, Sabrina waiting for me to notice that she wants supper.
This is the weird cat, Mittens. She spends a lot of time sleeping on one of our dining chairs.
Guess I'd better cast on for the next pair of slippers in red.

Update

I'll start off this post with a gratituitous cute pet picture. This is the latest addition to our household. One of my teaching colleague's hamster had a litter of babies and this was the one my daughter picked out. I do love the color on this one. Don't know what she has decided to name it yet. We have only had it a week.
This is what I am working on for family Christmas gifts. I think I already posted a couple of pre-felting pictures, so here is what they look like after felting. Doncha just love it! I am please with how quickly they are turning out. Only two times through with the smaller blue pairs and three times with the larger gray ones. I used Paton's Classic Wool. I love this stuff and the price is right! Right now I am working on a couple of larger pairs using Cascade 220. We will see how well they felt up. Hopefully next weekend. If I can get a couple of pair finished each week then I might have enough for everyone by Christmas Eve.
So I neede more yarn and took off this morning early for Michaels and luckily all of this was on sale 2/$8. I saved almost $2 for each 2 skeins. I have enough for at least 6 more solid color pairs. Then if there is time some two color pairs. I also got some Lion Brand Wool to try. The yardage is less so I had to get 6 skeins instead of 4 for a pair of slippers. But it was the same price. Probably won't be using it too often, but it had some colors that weren't in the Patons.
Better get busy knitting now so I can use up all this yarn!

What I've been up to...

I recently acquired more yarn...(Imagine that! ;-) Above is the latest sock kit from Blue Moon Fibers...and below is the latest sale from The Fifth Stitch in Defiance, Ohio. It was $46 for Lorna's Laces sock yarn in 4 colors of their choosing. I like all of them. And after Christmas, I will get knitting on more socks for me!
I have been doing some Christmas knitting as seen below. This year I am making felted clogs using the Fiber Trends pattern. I have 2 1/2 pair done now. I need at least 2 1/2 more, I think by Christmas.
Maybe more...we will see how many I can get finished. If I have a full day, I can get one knitted up and ready for felting. This is what the last one looked like earlier today.
This is my husband's dog, but he sticks with me most of the time. Especially when I'm sitting at the computer with my knitting.
Here is that same clog now. I have started on the second one.
Hopefully, I will have more to post later in the week.
