The latest...
Here are a couple of pink scarves I received on Wednesday (yesterday) to be taken to the Markey Cancer Center in July. These were sent by Mary in Washington state. I don't know the yarns used, but aren't they pretty?
The next 4 scarves I received today and are from June in Arizona. More beauty! The red scarf is the Irish Hiking Scarf using Caron Simply Soft. The navy scarf is a Drop Stitch using Caron Simply Soft again.
The first scarf on the left is a Diagonal Stitch using Patons Classic Wool and the one on the right uses Patons Country Garden DK in a Slip Stitch Rib. Such lovely work from two lovely ladies. Thank you all so much! Now I really must get cracking on my hats!

Here we go...
Finally! The picture of my latest finish uploaded. Here they are, the latest Six Sox Knitalong called Glad Raggs. The pattern was written to have beads knitted in, but also an option for knitting just the lace pattern. That is what I did, simply because I didn't have access to beads that were the correct size for socks. Later I would like to knit these up again using beads.
Now I am working on the purple ripple socks that are a REALLY belated Christmas gift for my daughter's future MIL. They were to have been done for Christmas of 2004. And here it is, 2006. Yipes! Guess it's better late than never.
Gonna go knit now and will post my progress later today. Oh semi-unexpected snow day. We have icy and slick roads so school was FINALLY called off. Of course, after I was up and showered. Oh well, more time to knit!

Another week, another pair of socks...
Oh, btw, I think I forgot to post this news...I am going to be a grandmother sometime in June/July(step-, actually) My husband's oldest daughter, who has been married about 5 years is expecting. Also a good friend of my daughter is expecting her second child too. Another bit of great news is that my daughter, Megan, is engaged to be married. She is planning on April/May in 2007.

Another week's work...
Wow! This has been a crazy week and I am exhausted. Not much knitting done this week, except for the socks. I did 10 repeats of the pattern instead of just the recommended 7 cause I like my legs a little longer and now I have started on the heel flap. I want to turn on the speed and get these finished soon! I've got so many other things to finish up and others to get started.
This is as far as I have gotten on the purple Ripple socks. I have got to get these finished soon. They were supposed to be a Christmas present.
Well, things to do...you know.
Gotta go.

Slow week...
It has been a slow week as far as knitting goes... I just haven't had the time or energy to do much knitting. This is as far as I have gotten on my Glad Ragg socks from the Six Sox knitalong. I should be at least down into the foot by now. I am hoping I can turn up the heat and get them finished this weekend. Maybe I am just burned out by concentrating on my Olympic Knitting. Hope that passes soon.
This pattern recommends knitting the pattern rows 7 times, but I think I will make 10 repeats because I always have plenty of yarn left and I would like a longer sock. Anyway, I am going to knit some more on these, and then off to bed.
